"It was better than we'd ever imagined," were the only words from the bride at the end of this incredible day. Indira and Terrol's wedding took place at the Antiguo Casino de Puerto Rico on May 29th, 2022. Some of their guests traveled from the United States, while others traveled all the way from Costa Rica where part of the bride's family currently lives.
The groom, on the other hand, was born in Jamaica, so you can only begin to imagine what an epic party this wedding was! When Indira and Terrol arrived for their wedding, the couple stayed at the luxurious O:LV Fifty-Five Hotel, where preparations began early that Sunday morning.
Meanwhile, everything looked gorgeous at Antiguo Casino de Puerto Rico where the wedding planner, Alexa Blanco, and floral designer, Patricia Lorraine of Lorraine's Flowers, had every detail ready for the arrival of all the guests. The wedding ceremony was nothing short of amazing.
Antiguo Casino de Puerto Rico is one of the most elegant and luxurious venues in the island. One particularly memorable moment was when the groom began to sing praise and worship while all the guests followed and sang along. This left all the vendors speechless as they listened to what they described as "a choir of angels," making the ceremony simply perfect. While their guests enjoyed the cocktail hour, Terrol and Indira were taken to the main ballroom for their venue reveal.
Indira was speechless. She couldn't stop thanking the planning and design team for such wonderful work. After 45 minutes of cocktails and photos, the party finally began. Ice cold "piraguas" with liqueur, a delicious dinner, an insane DJ show, and some carnival stilt women were only a few of the amazing elements that made this celebration an unforgettable one.
Alexa Blanco Weddings, the planner for this special day, imparted a lot of wisdom onto the bride. First, she encouraged Indira and Terrol to, "Make yourselves number one. When it comes to making wedding decisions, most couples tend to put their guests' or family needs before their own. I believe this is not only a mistake, but often the main reason couples don't really get to enjoy their wedding planning journey. Decide what matters the most to you as a couple and make every decision together. Second, strive to be unique. Each couple has their own story and their own style.
Make sure your personalities are present in the small details and make sure your love story is at the center of everything you do on that day. And finally, trust your wedding vendors. This is one of the most important days in your lives and you're putting it at the hands of complete strangers. Which is why I strongly recommend that by the time you get to your wedding day, your team of vendors are not considered strangers to you. Meet with them, let them know your fears or concerns, ask them about anything and everything."
