This Gorge Crest Vineyards Backyard Wedding Makes Our Heart Sing! Quaint and carefree details paired with a breath taking view of Mount Hood and we are absolutely hook. And we didn't even mention the fact that the groom is a musician and actually did sing to his new wife at their reception! Be still my heart!

Make choices for yourselves. We agonized over choosing a venue that was over an hour away from Portland. We were really concerned about how people would feel about making that long journey but in the end, we decided that the location would be worth the trek and our closest friends and family wouldn't feel burdened to be there for us on our special day. Almost a third of our budget went towards the venue. But we felt it provided such a beautiful setting that we would save money on decor (which we did). And wowed reaction of our guests as they arrived made it worth every penny
The toss-flowers we special-ordered from Hawaii never arrived. But my bridesmaids went into problem-solving mode by driving down to Safeway, buying 4 dozen roses, and pulling all the petals off to be used instead.
Brooke-Lynn and Ivan’s wedding was a modern musician’s wedding with some sweet Hawaiian flair. Gorge Crest Vineyards in White Salmon Washington couldn’t have been a more stunning backdrop for the day; trees, flowers, tall yellow grass and a perfect view of Mt. Hood.
Music was important part of the day because the groom is an extremely talented musician and the lovely couple met while he was on tour with his Indie rock band Gayngs. Ivan not only wrote the processional song, but also performed an original written for Brooke-Lynn at their reception.
Some other wonderful details of this intimate gathering include leis for the immediate family members, mismatched vintage plates, one long family-style dinner table, and Portland Oregon gift bags with hand picked special treats from the couple’s favorite local vendors.
