Jessica and Pawel kicked off their wedding weekend with a beautiful, intimate rehearsal dinner for their nearest and dearest at the courtyard in the Wythe Hotel. They were surrounded by love and candlelight and some of their closest family that they haven't seen in many years as they all reside in Poland. It was the perfect start to what proved to be the best weekend of their lives.
Jessica and Pawel wed in a Catholic ceremony at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Brooklyn, which is a place dear to Jessica's heart as she received all her previous sacraments there and attended mass there through her entire childhood. Surrounded by everyone they love most, they said their long-awaited "I Do's" before heading to Manhattan to celebrate.
Prior to the reception, the newlyweds were joined by their bridal party consisting of 12 of their closest friends to take photos at the New York Public Library, by the iconic Plaza Hotel and Central Park where they stopped traffic!
The reception took place at Guastavino's in New York City; a hidden gem under the Queensboro Bridge that has the most incredible arched ceilings. The couple knew the first time they walked in there that this would be where their family and friends would celebrate their marriage.
Jessica always knew that she wanted timeless, sophisticated yet modern wedding decor which is why she turned to the experts at Design House Decor who helped her bring her vision to life. Safe to say, not one person wasn't wow-ed when they walked into the black, white, green and gold themed room with flowers cascading down every table and a beautiful candlelit backdrop behind the sweetheart table that served as a photo moment for all the guests. One of Jessica's favorite parts of the decor was the acrylic seating charts that were adorned with flowers and candles and was a "WOW" moment when guests arrived at the venue.
The newlyweds surprised their guests with an unexpected first dance to a custom rendition of Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" where the beat picked up mid-song and everyone was invited to join in on the dance floor - I still get chills thinking back to that moment.
Guests dined on filet mignon and red snapper before dancing all night to the 12-person live band that played both top 40 hits as well as classic Polish songs that kept the dance floor packed at all times. Mini patron bottles and cotton candy were distributed on the dance floor as well.
