From the Bride: I always knew I wanted to get married in upstate New York and my husband, Greg, loved the idea of working with local vendors. Based on those criteria, we immediately fell in love with The Hill and the town of Hudson. Our family and friends created so much love and positive energy that, combined with our dream venue, made our wedding celebration the best weekend of our lives.
In the months leading up to our wedding, I enjoyed sticking to a fitness, nutrition, and self-care regimen so I would be able to be fully present and embrace the occasion. The entire experience inspired me to start my own coaching and concierge business for brides-to-be so they can feel and look their personal best on their wedding journey – and into their honeymoon and beyond.
We had an all-star team of wedding vendors who made everything seamless. A few that come to mind: Polka Dot Events (Tracey Goldstein is incredibly artistic and attentive); Rebecca Yale Photography (Rebecca has a stunning ability to capture the romance and genuine emotion of the moment); Sharon Geller Friedson of Jarita's Florist created and assembled flower arrangements far beyond what we could have ever envisioned.
My advice would be to try to be present throughout the entire day/weekend. And whenever you feel nervous or stressed, remind yourself why you're there - pausing whenever possible to embrace the moment. It really does go by in a flash.
