This Chic Micro Wedding On The San Diego Coast Was Only 15k

True, these gorgeous shades of marigold and orange are perfect for a fall wedding, but that's not why this couple chose them. The groom is color-blind, so they worked with their wedding vendors to curate a color palette that he could enjoy! This micro-wedding on the San Diego coastline is full of touching little details like that. Originally, Kelsey and Mike planned on eloping, but in the end, they opted for a small ceremony in an AirBnB on the water where their immediate family could be there to share in the joy.

Silk & Sabal helped these two design the perfect wedding for them, a wedding that was chic and understated. These stunning florals by Tessfresh Flowers transformed the AirBnB into a full-on wedding venue. The photography company, Kristen Weaver Photography, is actually owned by the bride's sister. Kristen decided to let her team do the honors on the day of so that she could be present for her sister's big day. A THOUGHTFUL COLOR PALETTE

Kelsey and Mikes's wedding is pretty personal for me...Kelsey is my baby sister! When she told me that she was planning an elopement I knew that I wanted to be present as a sister, not the photographer. So two KWP Masters, Kellen and Gabby, came to shoot this beautiful micro-wedding. Kelsey and Mike booked a beautiful AirBnb that overlooked the Pacific Ocean. They wanted both of their families to be able to all stay in one place together to celebrate. The morning started with champagne, matching robes, and writing vows. They went with an autumn color palette with shades of orange, because Mike is color-blind and those are colors he can actually see well. The florist, Tessfresh Flowers, did a beautiful job incorporating these colors into Kelsey's bouquet, and the ceremony pieces.

LOOKING TO THE FUTURE

Elegant dining table overlooking the sea, perfect for a dinner party

For the ceremony, they set up on the balcony outside. Kelsey and Mike didn't read their vows to one another, instead, they included them and a bottle of wine in a wine box that they will open in a year for their anniversary. After the ceremony, everyone enjoyed a charcuterie board that filled the center of the table. Kelsey and Mike hired a personal chef, Couch Potatoes, to create the charcuterie board and also serve dinner. They ended their night with sunset pictures in a park not far from the AirBnb that had cliffs that overlooked the water and made for the perfect spot to watch the sunset as husband and wife.
