This bride was stress free on her big day for the sweetest reason, unwavering love. Besides being gorgeous, Lauren and Steve are two of the sweetest people ever. Not only sweet but so relaxed. All day long Lauren kept saying how it didn’t feel real that they were getting married. Even after she put her beautiful wedding gown on, even after their first look, even after their first dance – it was all just surreal!
Lauren and Steve put so much thought into their wedding day, everything that was included was
something held close to their heart. See all of it in the full gallery, photographed by Tina Elizabeth Photography.
From the vendors: The bride woke up that morning and said it felt
like she was waking up to go to Disney World. When it’s a sure thing,
when you just KNOW this is where you’re meant to be, the nerves will
never kick in. You will never feel nervous about the day ahead of you
and you will never feel jittery – you will just feel content. And THAT’S
the feeling they had all day long.

The mirror that welcomed guests to The Stone House At Stirling Ridge with their table numbers on it was no ordinary mirror – it was Lauren’s grandmother’s mirror. The words written on the wood plaque that welcomed their guests to their ceremony site were no ordinary words – they were words Steve wrote himself in a song for Lauren. Their officiant was no ordinary officiant – it was a dear friend of theirs. The colors were all tied in together beautifully throughout their wedding day, from the GORGEOUS shades of blue and gray from the Bridesmaids dresses and the ribbons on their bouquets to the stunning ceremony backdrop they made themselves – ALL of it was thought out before hand and it’s amazing when it all just comes together perfectly.
"Wedding planning was pretty much a breeze for us, so don't get too nervous when you get engaged and hear how 'brutal' wedding planning is...we had a lot of fun! There would be times where things would feel stressful or a lot at once- like trying to find a venue in New Jersey, with an open Saturday date, in the summer, over a year in advance. We ultimately had to compromise since there were no dates left but we were perfectly happy to choose a Sunday wedding because we loved the venue and also didn't want to wait 2 years. Once those small details kind of iron themselves out, we never looked back or felt that is was actually that stressful. Something we were never told? Hotels and room blocks are a nightmare. Definitely the worst part of planning. 2-3 weeks prior to the wedding we dealt with major room shuttle block issues at the hotel we chose. I wound up hearing from a lot of brides during that awful time that issues with the hotel happen pretty often yet somehow we never knew that. Really make sure you get as much information as possible when shopping around for hotels. And yes, shop around for hotels. Just one of the headaches, people had issues reserving rooms online and had to call, which then proved to be an issue upon check-in and using the shuttle. Really make sure you know what you get with your room block. If things seem difficult, talk to other hotels and see what you may be able to get more from one than the other (negotiate) and see if there is any information online on the hotels from previous brides/wedding blocks."
Budget Info:
"Weddings are really expensive in New Jersey, even when trying to save.
We knew food, photos, video, and music were the most important parts to
us. Our venue cost the most of our day
and we were fortunately that my parents paid for that portion (cake was
included in the venue by a local bakery that was amazing!). My husband
and I decided we would pay for the vendors which included the
Photographer, Videographer, and DJ- for reference those 3 vendors came
to a little over $9,000. I paid for my dress and shoes and my husband
paid for his suit. I made our invites, did the envelope callgiraphy, and almost all of our decor which helped save some money."
The most amazing thing? Lauren has some serious calligraphy skills and designed half of it herself – from the table numbers and every wood sign at their wedding to the cake topper and even the invitations! It all looked so beautiful. These two are so lucky to have found each other and even luckier to have had such an amazing start to their marriage.
