This next blue and white wedding in New York City is almost too cute for words! Not only was the entire wedding party style on point (we are actually drooling over the bridesmaid dresses as well as the Mother of the Brides dress) but the look and feel of this whole day is joyful love with a side of Industrial shabby chic.
We are so happy to have partnered with Tori Petrillo Photography to bring this fabulous wedding day to you, and you can see even more of it in our full gallery. We hope it brightens your day as much as it has ours. Enjoy!
Ashley and Justin met on Bumble! Ashley made the first move. Justin proposed to Ashley during a trip to Paris on the balcony of their hotel room which overlooked the Tuileries Garden and had the Eiffel Tower sparkling in the background. Justin insisted on booking a room with a balcony in November, and Ashley soon understood why! He knew Ashley would be most comfortable if they were secluded for this special moment. With such an incredible view all to themselves, it was a moment that neither Ashley or Justin will ever forget! After the proposal, Ashley and Justin went out to a French dinner to celebrate and soak it all in.
There is something so magical about New York City weddings, and Ashley and Justin’s wedding was no exception! Ashley and Justin got ready in the penthouse suite at a hotel down the street from Houston Hall. I started the afternoon photographing Ashley’s beautiful details (peep the gorgeous invitation suite that her sister, Christiana, of Christiana Illustrations & Invitations, designed) as well as her bridesmaids having fun all together before the ceremony.
As soon as Ashley and her bridesmaids were ready, we walked over to Houston Hall to meet Justin for the big reveal! One of Ashley and Justin’s adorable flower girls wanted to be a part of the first look — and I loved watching her sweet reaction as they turned around and saw each other for the first time that day!
Ashley and Justin chose to have a beautiful, intimate ceremony at Houston Hall with their family members. Reverend Annie led the ceremony and invited each family member to read a piece of scripture. After the ceremony, Ashley and Justin’s families celebrated with champagne as they watched the couple sign their marriage license!
Before guests started arriving, Ashley, Justin and I photographed bride and groom portraits near Houston Hall. The surrounding streets have beautiful homes! Some of my favorite photos of Ashley and Justin are in front of a quaint home with a blue door, and at the back entrance of Houston Hall.
It was so incredible to see Ashley and Justin’s vision come to life when we returned back to Houston Hall for the reception! Each of the wooden tables had a runner of greenery as well as beautiful candlesticks. Houston Hall is such an incredible space complete with brick walls, concrete floors, and wood-beamed ceilings. It was the perfect venue for Ashley and Justin’s beautiful day!
