When it came to planning their big day, Lauren and Jorge broke the mold with a dark and moody themed wedding that was anything but stuffy. Their unique day resonated their personal style that included nods to some of their favorite things, including Beetlejuice and Nightmare Before Christmas (a personal favorite!!).
The all black color scheme was tastefully done with pops of red and blush throughout, along with a bit a sparkle and some very dramatic floral arrangements that are simply to die for! But it wasn’t all dark and moody, as the bride wore the most gorgeous high-neck wedding dress from Essense of Australia. So pretty!!! We hope you enjoy their spook-tacular day captured by Chrissy Gilmartin Photography below and in the full gallery. And from all of us here at WC, Happy Halloween!
Meet Lauren and Jorge!! Two super cool humans with their very own distinct sense of style... When Lauren first booked me and told me that she had some very "different" ideas for her wedding, and that she wanted to have her first look in an old cemetery near their venue.. I was ALL IN and knew this was not going to be my "typical" wedding!~ And as you will see from the images... it was different indeed!
From the first look and wedding party portraits in the cemetery, to the Beetljuice Inspired Cake, to the ADORABLE choice of wardrobe for her GORG flower girls and female ring bearer donning the cutest striped tights and docs ever, to the stunning florals in beautiful dark hues... it really could not have been any better!! And her choice of song for their First Dance: Depeche Mode's "Shake the Disease"!! It was perfect!
Lauren's beautiful mama is the director of the Historic Griffith House where the wedding took place, so Lauren has grown up around weddings her entire life and knew she did NOT want anything "typical"... as she had seen any weddings throughout the years... So she decided early on that her wedding would be completely reflective of her and Jorge's style... regardless of what anyone else thought!
