Jennifer and Del met almost four years ago on a dating website. They each had two boys from previous relationships. After a couple of years, they decided to blend their two families together and also welcomed their first daughter to make them a family of seven.
Del proposed to Jennifer in February 2019 and they wed on September 12, 2020 in Jennifer’s mother’s backyard. Besides the special location, what also made it more special was Del's mother was their officiant, their four boys were their groomsmen, their daughter Savannah was their flower girl, and they decided to do the traditional wedding a skip the first look photos. Del saw Jennifer in her Essence of Australia wedding gown from Blueberry Bridal Boutique for the first time as she walked down the aisle with her dad.
Del and Jennifer originally planned to wed at a new venue in Pasco, Washington. When COVID hit, the venue notified them they could no longer hold their wedding, leaving us to find a venue at last minute. It was a no brainer when Jennifer's mom offered her beautiful backyard and pasture. After months of planning, making hard decisions and overcoming obstacles no one could prepare for (like covid and hazardous air from nearby wildfires), we made their dream wedding into a reality. Jennifer had dreams of vibrant colors to show off her glam personality. We incorporated varieties of pink and fuchsia as well as pops of gold. Her flowers were designed by Flowers by Kim and included the gorgeous fuchsia colors to make her bouquet really stand out.
During the reception, Jennifer surprised Del with his favorite local country band, Stompin Ground where they came out and sang their first dance song, Tennessee Whiskey. They had a BBQ dinner along with beer, wine and two signature drinks (whiskey coke for him, vodka and tonic for her).
After dinner and dancing was the cake cutting where they cut into a beautiful three-tiered red velvet wedding cake designed by TC Cake Art t. Jennifer’s brother built the wedding cake holder and cupcake ladder adding just an extra touch of meaning. To end the night, guests sent the couple off under a bridge of sparklers to “let love sparkle.”
