We are true believers that you will want to not only hold your wedding photographs dear, but you will also cherish your wedding film. So, we are starting Sara and BJ's wedding with the film from The McKellars Cinema. They knocked it out of the park capturing the surprise flash mob at their reception which you can see in full at the end of this post. Let us know what you think!
Onto to all the pretty photographs from Geoff Duncan. Starting with a classic wedding ceremony on the glowing green lawn of Texas Old Town and ending with a fantastic wedding reception. Do you heart this wedding as much as we knew you would? Don't forget there is more to share in the full gallery here.
From the Bride:Throughout the engagement, Billy and I reminded each other that we wanted three things to happen at our wedding: 1.) for the gospel of Jesus to be preached 2.) to get married 3.) to party hard with our friends and family. Because those three things happened, none of the little details that went awry mattered. We loved every minute of our wedding and are so thankful to everyone who helped make it happen.
My husband, Billy, is extremely creative and thoughtful, and he did the majority of the work. He researched and contacted most of our vendors and put together some of my favorite details of our wedding, including the liturgy in our programs and the handmade chandelier that hung above us as we said our vows.
A moment that was particularly special to us was Billy's sister and brother-in-law singing a couple of our favorite songs during our ceremony. And our favorite of the entire day was the sermon spoken by our pastor from Denver, Brian Brown. Rather than focusing on my husband and me, our pastor spoke about the parallels between marriage and Jesus' love. It was the most meaningful moment of the night.
If we were getting married now as opposed to last year, we think nearly everything would be different aesthetically. Don't get us wrong. We loved our wedding and are so thankful for it. But if we could do it again, we would want more of a classy wedding (as opposed to trendy) with white, gold and gray as our colors. We would focus way more on food and flowers. We have fun daydreaming about that.
Our reception was so fun. Our favorite moment of the reception was a complete surprise to Billy and me. Billy's sister, brother-in-law, and best man had put together a flash mob to the song "We Found Love" by Rihanna. In the middle of what we thought was a toast, nearly all of our guests rushed to the dance floor and performed the choreographed dance. Our videographer, Vanessa McKellar Productions, captured the entire dance on film, and we must have watched it a hundred times in the first week of getting it. It was such a sweet moment, and we're so thankful for our friends and family that worked so hard on it
Check out the surprise flash mob that The McKellars Wedding Cinema captured at their reception. How awesome is this?!
