Garden Party
I wanted our wedding to be like a big garden party, but also super romantic because I am a hopeless romantic. Our inspiration was to add a lot of personal touches to the wedding so that our guests were reminded of our love and our personalities. We wanted our guests to feel very welcome just like they were at our home. We wanted an outdoor wedding so that we could feel nature and beauty all around, like everything was just meant to be.
Dreamy Venue
Gerry Ranch had just opened for weddings 6 months before our visit, therefore, they hadn't hosted any weddings yet when we visited them. While we drove through the dirt road into the orchard, I knew it was the one. Once you step on the the actual wedding area, it was enchanting. The ceremony area was filled with white roses, the backdrop was acres and acres of blueberries, surrounding the other 3 sides were citrus and avocado trees.
Fresh blooms
The reception area was nothing but romantic...strings of bistro lights lit the area from above, a ledge elevated the newlyweds from the main reception area, and the dance floor was perfectly in the center. Allie, from These Buds A Blooming, was very fun. Her designs are absolutely stunning and made our vision come true. The quality of her flower supply is superior, it's full bloomed and fresh.
From one bride to another
I recommend some alone time with you and your makeup artist to clam the nerves before your girls arrived to provide you some company. Also have your makeup artist designated only to you so that she take all the time she needs for the bride and not rush so she can finish makeup for the other ladies. If you can afford to have a makeup artist for everyone, make sure she/he does your makeup first!
