Adventure is out there! But not all adventures are loud and full of explosions, sometimes a quiet little backyard wedding can be just as big of a thrill. Nicole and Ricard's sweet and simple outdoor wedding was just that. They kept the guest list small, decorated by hand and in the end celebrated their union and the start of exciting new experiences.

From the Bride:One of my favorite details was Richard’s (alternative) boutonniere. We both love the movie UP and we decided to use the “Ellie Badge,” symbolizing the adventure we were about to embark on.
The entire time I was planning, people kept telling me not to worry about the details, as I wouldn’t remember them after the wedding. But, I have to say, they are my favorite memory looking back.
The flowers were an assortment of wildflowers that our families arranged the night before. My bouquet was handpicked by my younger brother. (It was his first time arranging flowers and he surprised us all with his skills.) I absolutely adored painting the signs that lined the drive to the wedding and decorating with old windows, burlap, and bunting made by my sister-in-law.
Seeing all of the little things I had stressed over come together into a beautiful whole was the most rewarding experience of my life. Richard and I both love the outdoors, and our venue perfectly suited us. The beautiful old tree and barn, with the fields rolling behind, were the ideal place for us to celebrate all of God’s blessings in our life. And the weather was perfect.
As for changing anything, I don't think I would. Everything was absolutely perfect. A funny story is that two weeks after the wedding, while looking at pictures, I noticed that my cake topper never made it on the cake. So, I may have changed that.
