This pink and white wedding is definitely something special! Every little details catches your eye and makes you wish you were there. To add to the wonder of the day the bride designed and letter pressed all of her wedding stationery, but the creativity doesn't end there, she also did her own flowers!
We know how difficult it can be to create your own wedding flowers and the fact that hers turned out so so pretty has left us completely speechless! We'll let the pictures do the talking; see them all in the full gallery, photographed by Stephanie Brazzle Photography.
Their Heartwarming Love Story
Please don't leave". When I heard those three words and saw that mischievous smile, I knew this guy was special and his witty humor put my nerves at ease on our first date. For some reason Matthew was worried that I might actually leave when he went to the bathroom. Little did he know that I was already hooked. What started as a blind date blossomed into a beautiful friendship and one drink led to three and one date led to many more. Little did I know that our journey together was just beginning. When Matthew finally proposed I was completely surprised. He wrote three love letters each one representing our past, present and future together. It was perfect.
The Story Behind Her DIY Flowers
It's safe to say that none of my friends would say I have a green thumb. As any brides knows, gorgeous flowers really help to create a beautiful wedding space, but can be incredibly expensive. I spoke to several vendors and it become apparent that I didn't have a large enough budget to get the flowers I envisioned for my wedding. Instead of scaling back, it quickly became apparent that I was going to have to take on creating the flower arrangements myself. So for 3 months prior to the wedding and 2 nights each week I took a floral design class. I also had unbelievably generous floral design classmates that volunteered their time to help create the flower arrangements.
Read on to see how much this wedding cost. Please
note that costs change as the years go by, and prices are subject to
change. This is just one couple’s breakdown to give you a rough estimate
on how much a wedding like this may cost you.
We spent almost $30,000 on our wedding. 56% was for the reception (food and liquor), 13% was for our photographer, 3% was for paper goods (invitations, programs, escort cards), 4% was for florals and the rest was for clothing, transportation and other miscellaneous items. I'm a calligrapher and invitation designer so I was able to save a significant amount of money by designing my own invitations and addressing them. I also own a letterpress machine so I was able to print them myself as well.
