Storybook Inspired Garden Wedding: Cassie + Sam
From Cassandra, the bride.. "My husband and I met while working in a bookstore and had an instant chemistry - we got engaged within 6 months of our first date. After our engagement, circumstances forced us to spend 6 months apart with little contact which made our relationship stronger and showed both of us how far we would go to be together. Our wedding inspiration came from the love stories of couples who had endured for each other - Penelope and Odysseus of "The Odyssey," Clare and Henry from "The Time Traveler's Wife," Noah and Allie from "The Notebook," and especially Penny and Desmond from "LOST" - and we named each of our tables at the reception after these couples. We found vintage books of their love stories, placed one at each table and had our guests sign the books to create a wedding library for us to cherish. My favorite part of the day was our first kiss as husband and wife. After all we'd been through, that moment meant to me that we had made it and found a way to create our own version of a happily ever after. Even though I feel like it was all over so quickly, looking back now at our photos (taken by the gloriously talented Lauren Fair Photography) you can feel the happiness and love that surrounded every moment of our wedding day and will always be a part of our love story.
