Stockholm is one of the world's most beautiful cities, built where the lake meets sea. Since mostly everything in Stockholm is near the water, having your wedding overlook water is quite a snap. Zachary and Elin choose Roslagen as their ceremony location, located on the coast outside of Stockholm on the edge of the Swedish archipelago. The perfect backdrop for their Nautical wedding. This stunner was filled with sailing inspired details, set on a red, white and blue color palette. You can see more of this Stockholm nautical wedding in the full gallery captured by Brandon Werth.
My heart was pumping really hard and I was out of breath, thanks to my wonderful father he managed to calm me down and walk me down the aisle to my husband to be. The tears were rolling down our cheeks when the soloist sang “Kärleksvisan” and “Making memories of us”. Neither of us were prepared for how special and meaningful the ceremony and night were going to feel. But now we know."
We love that the couple had a classic American car in Stockholm as their getaway car. Incredibly stylish and fit right in with their Nautical Americana theme.
The reception was held at a restaurant called Grosshandlargården, which once was a school for women that was built in 1924. This whole experience was the most amazing happening in my life. We were surrounded by the people we love and we all really celebrated what life is all about. Love. The planning leading up to this day was fun and inspiring but at the same time stressful and filled with “what if’s…” I was for example really scared that it would rain on our outdoor reception, but we were so lucky that it didn’t. Our lovely photographers reassured us that they had never shot a wedding when in the rain (!). The feelings that I felt on our day were probably every single one you can feel when you know you are blessed with the best friends and family – and the best groom ever.
