Nick proposed to me in front of the Christmas tree and in front of our whole family. Christmas is both of our favorite holidays. We got married on October 3, 2020, in front of fifty of our closest friends and family.
We chose the Hacienda Cabo Beach Club & Residences in Cabo San Lucas because it is our absolute favorite place. We stayed there for our first trip together seven years ago and have continued to visit multiple times a year every single year since with all of our friends and family. It is a very sentimental place for our family and friends we all love it so much and look forward to our vacations there. It only seemed right to get married at our most favorite place!
Planning a destination wedding sounded like it would be a lot of work but it was the best decision we made. It made Cabo even more sentimental to us. Everything went so smoothly and all of our guests were more than happy to make the trip happen!
We didn't have a theme for our wedding. I just wanted it to be as romantic and beautiful as possible with neutral colors and A LOT of candles and flowers. I wanted it to be the perfect representation of our love. I have always loved gold and white so once deciding on that my wedding coordinator was able to show me all of the beautiful options for the wedding decor!
We chose to keep the escort cards simple and put our guests' names on the menu with a beautiful tassel for detailing and the seating chart was on an acrylic sign.
We had personalized rattan fans for everyone to use during the wedding ceremony and they were engraved with our initials and wedding date so everyone could take a piece of the wedding home with them to always remember!
For the floral arrangements, we selected pampas grass, roses, orchids, amaranthus.
We kept a color scheme of neutrals, creams, & dusty rose pinks to match well with the beach and keep it light and romantic. The flowers were definitely the biggest splurge and one of my favorite parts! They were stunning and made the whole look come together perfectly.
When my dad came to my room to do our first look I remember being so excited to finally share that special moment together. My dad turned around to share our first look and he immediately started balling and it made me feel so loved and feel so beautiful in that moment!
I decided to have both of my fathers, (my dad & my stepdad) walk me down the aisle halfway. In my eyes they are both equally my dads, so to me, it was very important that they each got to share that special moment with me and it was just PERFECT!
Watching our two children come down the aisle together was one of the most special moments for us! Our daughter pulled our son down the aisle in a little white wagon during the middle of a very special song and it was just simply adorable! Our children are the symbol of our love and the most meaningful parts of our lives and to be able to set an example for them of what true love should look like was so important for us. Our friends and family all started crying during that moment it was so beautiful!
During our first dance, we shared a romantic kiss and everyone was surprised by fireworks at that exact moment! It was so special and powerful! It was amazing for our guests to feel the sparks between our shared kiss because that is how we truly feel every time we kiss! Our wedding was the perfect example of a “happily ever after” fairytale love story!
