Rustic French Vineyard Wedding in Tennessee: Kate & Nate

Happy wedding couple standing together by a lake, smiling for the camera

Kate and Nate got engaged in Paris. If this is not enough of an indicator of what a cool couple they are, their wedding says it all. They wanted a french vineyard feel with a non traditional meal served family style. They wanted a lot of natural elements incorporated so Homespun Weddings + Events used oranges on the tables, wheat grass centerpieces, and worn wooden boxes with table numbers.
Each of those elements lined long tables underneath a high peak tent. The couple got married overlooking a lake at a private residence. Their love for art, the outdoors, and each other could be seen in every element of their wedding.  You can see more of this marvelous simple French inspired wedding in the full gallery here. Advice From The Bride:If I could give one piece of advice to brides it would be to let go of your worries and let someone else handle the details on the day of the wedding.  We live in Boston, MA and as soon as we arrived in my hometown, Chattanooga, TN we were focused on spending time with family and friends.

We sought out special time with Grandparents and people we knew we might not get time with once the wedding day festivities began.  We let Homespun handle all the details and looking back, it was really the amazing people in our lives that made our wedding unforgettable.

From The Bride:I really wouldn’t have done anything differently on our wedding day.  Nate and I wanted our wedding to be natural and colorful and for the focus to be on creating extraordinary memories with our closest family and friends.  We wanted to include our guests in the celebration as much as possible.  For the bridal entrance, Groomsmen joined the string quartet on ukulele and guitar.

Nate and I wrote thanksgivings for each other that our guests read aloud during the ceremony. Dinner was passed around the table, family-style. And after our first dance, we got everyone (literally everyone!) out on the dance floor to start the party – our specialty cocktail, the Bourbon Booty Shake, must have done the trick!
