This bride had no fear of being upstaged by her guests, in fact she requested that everyone wear white on her big day. This gave the whole day a dreamy ethereal vibet, that we just cannot get enough of! I love the vintage feel. I wanted to have chandeliers. We wanted a full ocean view and a venue that easily transitioned from indoor to outdoor and vice-versa. We asked all our guests to wear shades of white since we were all on the beach.
The wedding day was amazing. We chose to enjoy as much of the wedding as possible. So we told our wedding photographer we would only give her 20 mins during the cocktail hour to take photos. Kelsea Holder is beyond amazing and would roll around in the dirt to get the perfect shot.
We hung chandeliers outside that provided the most romantic backdrop with the sounds of the waves crashing. In terms of decor my dad made lace chair caps and lace table runners for the Rustic Farmhouse tables. Floral was done by Opihi Love, I loved all the Haku's that she made for the bridal party. It gave the bridesmaid a beachy, boho feel.
1/2 cup fresh mint leaves, 8 oz. fresh strawberries, 1/3 cup of granulated sugar, 2 liter of sparkling water & juice of 5 limes plus one lime for garnish.
Pour sugar into the bottom of a pitcher and add the washed mint leaves. Gently muddle with a wooden spoon for about a minute. Add strawberries and gently muddle them just to release the juices. Add lime juice and top with sparkling water. Serve with fresh mint leaves and lime slices as garnishes.
Special moments included dancing with my father daughter dance with my dad to Passenger's Let her go. Having a fire dancer was pretty awesome for our guests and we also served Hawaiian Shave Ice from Ululani’s Hawaiian Shave Ice. It was important to us to have subtle tributes to Hawaii without having a cliche Getting Maui'd wedding.
