The Father of All Proposal Stories
Dom proposed over Father's Day weekend. He was on a business trip in Salt Lake City and surprised Krystel by flying her out to meet him. He had the entire trip planned out. He took her to White Sands National Monument, a place where she was suppose to visit with her father and Park City.
It turned out to be the most romantic trip and on the last day before they left, Dom proposed to Krystel. He told her he wanted to propose over Father's Day weekend in honor of her father who recently passed away. Dom was very close to Krystel's father Greg and loved him as much as she did. When Dom proposed, he told her that he was able to ask Greg for her hand in marriage two months before he unexpectedly passed away. She is so grateful to have Dom in her life and for her father to have met her future husband.
So Why Desert + Tropics?
From the Bride: Summer is my favorite time of the year! I have always loved warm sandy beaches, turquoise waters and tropical fruits and flowers! But I guess and have always thought I would get married on a beach. But then I moved to Arizona and absolutely fell in love with desert too! Two completely opposite climates and scenery. So I wanted to bring a little tropical paradise/oasis to the desert for our wedding day so I could have the best of both worlds!
When asked what flower I wanted for my wedding? I said I wanted grass and pineapples! Not your typical wedding flowers. But I love pampas grass and the way it looks so soft, fluffy and pretty when blowing in the wind. I also have this obsession with pineapples and love how the fruit symbolizes warmth, welcome, friendship and hospitality. Everything you would want your guests to feel on your wedding day!!
