A gorgeous fall day in Virginia set the scene for Sarah + Clarks romantic wedding. Warm fall colors, natural greenery and potted succulent favors are just a few of the details we're loving from this picture perfect day.
We can't fail to mention the gorgeous florals throughout, which were all beautifully crafted by the mother-of-the-bride herself! With so much love and support from their family and friends, this day turned out truly special. Sarah + Clark had an absolutely gorgeous wedding day!! From rich fall tones, to fresh greenery, to a quaint church ceremony, to succulent wedding favors this wedding pulled on all of my heartstrings. As soon as these two high school sweethearts got engaged, Sarah knew that she wanted to get married at her parent's house. They have a gorgeous home overlooking the golf course of Richmond Country Club that became a picture-perfect setting for Sarah + Clark's wedding day.
Sarah + Clark's wedding ceremony was both elegant and filled with charm. Close friends and family members gave readings, the ring bearer rode down the aisle in a vintage wagon, and rose petals littered the aisle. It really was a gorgeous ceremony. After the ceremony the newlyweds and their wedding party hopped on a trolley and headed back to Sarah's parent's home for the reception.
No detail was spared with their reception decor! There were succulent wedding favors, signature drinks, fresh greenery adorned all of the tables, a polaroid both was set up, twinkle lights lined the tent, and their dessert bar was out of this world! It was amazing to see all of Sarah's planning come together so perfectly. Their wedding band had everyone out on the dance floor the entire night. Literally, EVERYONE was dancing!
There were so many funny moments throughout the night, but I loved that Sarah + Clark were able to mix in some sentimental family traditions as well. In Sarah's family, it's a tradition that the bride and groom pass around a special plate of cookies and greet all of their guests in the process. It was such a sweet way to thank everyone for coming, and it also made for some great photo ops! They also did the dollar dance where everyone offers up a few dollars in exchange for a dance with the bride and groom. They ended the night with a sparkler send off!
