This bride wore a whimsical printed gown to her tennessee wedding

These days, we meet, sometimes we move in together, we get a new job, we move on, we get married–we very rarely stay in the same place. And while moving forward together is certainly something to celebrate, there's something so special about celebrating the place that brought you together. That's exactly what this couple did with their autumn wedding in the hills of Tennessee. Having your wedding in a place like this, that played such an important part in your relationship, allows you to reminisce about when you first started dating and to bring your friends and family in on your love story. You'll also have time to do all of the things that you never had time for when you lived there or visit all of the local haunts for treats you've been craving since you left. Who knows, maybe you can get one of your favorite restaurants to cater! Nothing brings a wedding together like custom signage. It's a great way to keep the aesthetic consistent throughout the day. And remember, custom printing starts with the invitations. We love the silk chiffon ribbon accent on this crisp modern invitation. For this wedding they alternated between white and terracotta backdrops and the result is a warm and inviting vintage vibe.

a fall wedding in the hills of tennessee

This adorable couple met in 2016 at orientation for law school at Vanderbilt University. Their careers have taken them to live in the DC area but they still wanted to have their wedding day in the city that brought them together. They wanted a simple but elegant wedding and chose Trinity View Farm, a European-inspired venue with a stunning view of the Tennessee Hills, that brought with it all of the coloring of a fall wedding.

We love it when a couple is chill with the wedding but goes hard with the fashion. Why not? It's not every day you get to frolic through a field in a gown...you may as well have an epic train, right? For her ceremony look Jacqueline wore a dramatic off-the-shoulder organza gown with a subtle green floral print throughout. Grant rocked a navy tux that really popped against the rich green backdrop of the countryside. The bridal party wore mix-and-match dresses in autumnal shades that fit the vibe beautifully.

With the sun, just right in the sky, nothing hits quite like a golden-hour wedding. The soft country breeze, the warm lighting, everything just seems so laid-back and romantic. Jacqueline held a bouquet of peach, blush, and ivory roses as she made her way down the aisle to Grant who was waiting for her by matching ground-level floral installations by Fresh by Carryann.

a rocking reception

A fun experience for their guests was a high priority, so they got a rock band to entertain throughout the reception. A family-style meal was another fun aspect to make everyone feel included. Instead of a cake, they decided to do local pies with a variety to choose from, really bringing in the South. And a voicemail-recorded guestbook was fun for the guests to leave them messages they’ll be able to listen to for years to come!
