During a fateful study abroad visit to Florence, Lindsay and Dan met and hit it off immediately! The couple was soon inseparable and once engaged knew that they wanted to honor their Italian love story with subtle and romantic nods to Tuscany. Olive trees, terra cotta, and dreamy candlelight were just some of the elements that transported their Chicago ceremony at Bridgeport Art Center to a destination wedding vibe.

Bride, Lindsay, stunned in a romantic, off the shoulder gown by Ines di Santo - a timeless style complemented by gorgeous glam by BloHaute and Shannon O'Brien. Her elegant designer style made her the vision of a Roman goddess!
The bride had a sentimental "something borrowed", heirloom earrings from her grandmother. The vintage jewelry was beautifully accompanied by accessories by Badgley Mischka and Cult Gaia.
Groom, Dan, donned a classic fitted tux with navy velvet jacket and modern loafers. The subtle color is such a chic touch!
The couple's bridal party was classically elegant in black tie attire featuring unique black gowns and sleek tuxedos. Their monochrome outfits were paired with a pop of autumnal color in rich bouquets and boutonnieres by Life in Bloom. The color palette of the florals reminds us of a Tuscan sunset!
In honor of their chance encounter in Italy, Lindsay and Dan wanted to lean into subtle nods to the region in their wedding ceremony. The Bridgeport Art Center in Chicago could not be farther geographically from Tuscany, however masterful design by SoiréeSmith transformed the space into a destination dream. The rustic industrial Sculpture Garden set the scene for modern "I do's", while olive trees, terra cotta pots, and romantic votives decorated the space.
Guests were greeted with a glass of champagne and cheese puffs before the ceremony — which was scripted by the couple and their officiant, Lindsay’s brother-in-law, based on their favorite books and movies.
The couple's engagement story was just as romantic as their ceremony:
"After a few years together, the two went for a bike ride on The 606 bike path, one of their favorite summer spots in Chicago. Dan led Lindsay to a park just off the trail, where he asked her to marry him. As a bonus surprise, both of their families were waiting for them at Lindsay’s favorite Italian restaurant, Osteria Langhe."

We love these dreamy garden portraits captured by Kristina Lorraine Photography! Lindsay's bouquet by Life in Bloom popped against the venue's flowers.
After the ceremony guests moved into the reception space, designed by SoiréeSmith, which featured lush greenery, mauve roses, and miniature trees as table numbers. Crystal chandeliers, mercury glass votives, and decor by Tablescape Event Rentals created a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests to celebrate Dan and Lindsay’s life as newlyweds.
Chic linens for the reception were provided by Tailored Elements while lighting and drapery were designed by Art of Imagination. Additional decor was from fabulous floral designer Life in Bloom.
The couple danced the night away to live entertainment by The Chicago Players!
