This lovely couple tied the knot in a rustic outdoor ceremony at Cedar Bend. Gorgeous floral arrangements from Cedar Bend Events nicely complimented the vintage and DIY decor. Visit the full gallery here to see more of this rustic wedding at Cedar Bend, all photographed by Matthew Johnson Studios.
From the Bride:The cardboard cut out is is of Brandon's brother, Matt Krivohlavy, who was away in Afghanistan during our wedding. Brandon wanted to have him represented at the wedding, so he and my Mom made the life size cut out just a few days before the wedding. Everyone had fun placing him in pictures and dancing with him all night. His brother is now back in the states safe and sound!
We like to call our Wedding décor “vintage rustic chic” because it felt like a mix of all three to us. Our venue, Cedar Bend Events, offered the perfect atmosphere and rustic feel.
A lot of our design inspiration came from antique items that were passed down to us from our Grandparents, including a vintage suitcase that my Great–Great Aunt used to stored her Halloween costumes in; antique cameras that my Grandpa had collected and kept in good shape until passing them down to Brandon; and my Grandmother’s 1940’s wedding rings that were left to me.
My Mom was the final puzzle piece, offering her amazing craft skills in making the paper poms, sewing all of the table runners and draping the tulle across all the beams. My Husband and I are so thankful and happy that our day turned out just how we imagined, and we are excited to spend the rest of our lives together as best friends and partners.
Photographer: $3000
DJ: $1600
Venue: $2300 plus a la carte items (including rental of some of the decorations and day of coordination - $650)
Floral: Done by the venue $950
Caterer: $7,000 (The food was really amazing and unique – worth the cost to not have the typical chicken/beef/pasta. We had a mexican fusion inspired mean. They also made some of the desserts.)
Mini Cupcakes: $100
Transportation for guests to and from the wedding: $900 (Most of our guests were traveling from out of town, and we didn’t want them to worry about driving and getting lost, or drinking and driving.)
Invitations: $1,000
Officiant: $450
Total: Approx. $23,000
My Mom paid for my dress separately outside of the budget and it cost $1650. I wore a second dress that we got on super sale at Macy’s for $25!
The rest was miscellaneous items for décor, gifts etc. My Mom made a lot of our decorations, so that really helped out with the décor budget. Having someone else make those items, or to buy them pre-made would have cost a bit more.
