This lovely wedding was held at the beautiful Temecula Creek Inn, and was overflowing with elements that portrayed both the bride and the groom. Throughout this wedding you'll find various thoughtful touches, all handmade with love. Despite only having a few months to plan their wedding, it turned out gorgeous with touches of military blues and rustic elegance. From the Bride:Without a lot of time, we were somewhat limited on our venue choices. I knew that I wanted an "Elegantly Rustic" wedding. We soon discovered that the Temecula area was right for us, and when we walked onto the grounds of the Stone House at Temecula Creek Inn, we knew we had found the place. It literally took our breath away. It is a magical place set out in a beautiful wooded area surrounded by boulder covered mountains.
A burlap and lace garland was made to guard the wedding aisle and was then moved as a backdrop to our sweetheart table. One special moments of note was when the Marine that served as groomsmen, along with a few additional friends, performed the sword arch at the end of our ceremony. It is a memory I will never forget.
We personalized tags on mason jars for each person to have as their drinking glass throughout the evening, adding the striped paper straws in orange and turquoise for that pop of color. Another personal touch was the escort card display. I took an old wooden screen and hand painted a distressed turquoise finish, adding twine stapled to the back to attach the cards. We clipped the cards with mini clothes pins that we dipped in our bright orange wedding color.
I had dreamt about this day for a long time and had a pretty good vision for what I wanted. I knew that my look would be very DIY, with a lot of personal homemade touches. My mom and I got busy with some help from friends and family and made the burlap table overlays and lace table runners.
My dad took care of the wood tree rounds for the centerpiece base. Our guests were celebrating and dancing the night away all evening. I truly got to live my fairytale and it was the most PERFECT night of our lives!"
