Rustic Glam Beach Wedding
Who doesn't love a beach wedding, especially when it's at the uber romantic Cabo Surf Hotel in Cabo San Lucas in Mexico. The bride chose a beachy color palette with shades of gold and mint mixed with a dash of wine country romance.
Every detail turned out picture perfect and Sara Richardson did an amazing job capturing this beach chic rustic inspired wedding, so be sure to visit the full gallery so you won't miss a single moment. You won't regret it!
Rustic glam
From the bride: Though we chose the beach, I still wanted to bring some rustic winery details to the setting. My wedding planner, Vari Avila of Allure Event did a great job turning my "Rustic Glam Beach Wedding" vision into reality. She added lots of surprises and little extra touches to the décor and day in general that made the wedding even more beautiful than I could have imagined. Our color scheme was inspired by the ocean and sea-glass with touches of gold to add elegance to our theme.
Colors of the sea
To carry the color scheme, I asked my bridesmaids to choose their dresses in "sea foam" or "mint" and offered shade suggestions from designers I thought would work and was blown away by how perfectly it all came together.
Designing the right look
As a graphic designer, I designed most of the printed pieces myself...from the Invitation & Details card to the S'mores bag tags for our welcome beach bonfire, and Welcome Totes we gave our guests. It was an exciting challenge to create a cohesive branded look for our special weekend. The invitations especially were a labor of love. I designed a watercolor background inspired by the ocean, overlaid with gold foil typography and used a gold patterned paper from Paper Source to hand-line the envelopes. My good friend, and owner of Heirloom Paper Company, Desiree Jacobs, provided expert knowledge, advice, and did an excellent printing job.
Intimate venue
Besides wanting fantastic accommodations, great food, and a beautiful backdrop, we wanted a boutique hotel where friends and family would make up the majority of the hotel guests and Cabo Surf Hotel was the perfect venue. We had 75 guests travel from near and far to be with us making the weekend a fun and intimate experience. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect weekend to celebrate the start of my life with my amazing husband.
You simply must watch the entire video from Jorge Ibarra. A breathtaking and memorable wedding film that we could watch over and over.
