Are your Pinterest boards oddly polarized between two very different wedding styles? Doesn't that romantic and rustic forest wedding seem like such a lovely way to say "I do"? But what about an ultra-chic rooftop event, close to all of your favorite food and amenities, lit with softly glowing strings of bistro lights providing a warm and exciting atmosphere?
Gah, it's nearly impossible to choose just one... but what if you didn't have to? This genius couple chose to take full advantage of Salt Lake Cities close proximity to rustic natural spaces for their naturally unplugged ceremony and then treated their friends and family to a private rooftop reception!
You can see just how they pulled this off by scrolling down and don't miss a single detail of their venue hopping day, we have a full gallery just waiting for you thanks to the talents of Jessica Janae Photography.
From Vivince Event Studio: The ceremony site, located at the top of City Creek Canyon, provided an intimate and remote location. This 30-minute drive up to the ceremony presented a unique challenge as cell phone reception was absent. This left guests with an organic version of going “unplugged”. Guests were given the opportunity to spark conversations with one another and stay present.
Madison, a former model, had her gown custom made by fashion designer Adolfo Sanchez. Her vision was to walk down the aisle in a one of kind dress that would stand out from all the dresses she’s worn throughout her career. Both Madison and Igor wrote their vows in partnership with their officiant, also known as their spiritual counselor.
The colors of burgundy and plum with touches of blush and gold were carried on from the ceremony to reception and created a bold yet romantic look that suited their non-traditional wedding perfectly. Their reception site was located in downtown Salt Lake, at the Capitol Theater. This provided a joyous outdoor celebration as well as great views at sunset. Their guests could be seen laughing, drinking, and dancing throughout the night. The evening came to an end with a very bright and memorable sparkler exit on the crosswalk from the theater to Hotel Monaco where they were staying.
