Cross Creek Ranch provided the perfect place for Sarah and Michael to say "I do" — but it was the DIY projects and personal touches that really made their wedding day dreams come true. From the photos of their grandparents attached to the bridal bouquet to the homemade game of cornhole at the reception, this couple's wedding day was one full of wonderful memories from start to finish.

From the bride:It was like love at first sight when we visited our venue, Cross Creek Ranch, in Dover, Florida. It sat on 10 acres with moss hanging from every tree, a beautiful wood stable and a breathtaking open barn. It was everything we were looking for — a rustic, romantic feel. Even better it was all inclusive which put us at ease and allowed us to relax as much as possible.
For our guest book, we had old wine corks that the guest signed their names on. Cross Creek provided us with an amazing wedding designer who made all our ideas come to life. I also used the amazing sisters from Burkle Events, who helped me select my amazing talented photographer Stacy Paul & videographer London Wilson, along with bringing lots of DIY props to decorate our day. The day of coordinator helped bring all the little details together that truly captured our personalities. As we walked through our grand exit of sparklers, I wanted the night to start all over.
We wanted everyone at our wedding to just have fun. BBQ was served and we gave the caterer our favorite macaroni and cheese recipe to make. We also had our favorite cookie dough cupcakes from our favorite bakery. We laughed in the photo booth, cried when we first saw each other, danced the night away, played cornhole on the boards my dad made us, and ate s'mores at the bonfire.
My advice to other brides is make sure you get a to go box of your wedding food. We didn't get to eat as much at the wedding as we wanted to. But when we got back to our hotel we pigged out on our leftovers & really understood why everyone LOVED the food. Also, have faith in your DIY skills. I never thought in a million years I'd be able to make some of the stuff I did. But if you mess up, brush your shoulders off & try again. The dollar store & thrift shop were my best friends for DIY stuff. Use Pinterest, blogs, and Etsy for ideas. Also, get a photobooth — you and your guest will love it!
