This beautiful wedding is a mixture of cultural traditions and the unique personalities of the happy couple. Fair warning though, you might freak out about just how cute everything is! All captured at The Miller Lash House, nestled in the picturesque valley of the village of Highland Creek. A garden surrounded by evergreens creating an intimate area for a beautiful wedding.
As you will soon Erika and Eric took every detail into account, even their guests hunger level. Be sure to keep reading to get a full budget breakdown of this soft and romantic day. As always you can glance at the full gallery here. All captured by Rhythm Photography.
We had an outdoor ceremony by a waterfall fixture at the venue. It was short but very emotional. We had written our own vows, everything felt so personal. There were so many happy tears! We served a traditional 10 course Chinese banquet with custom wine and signature cocktails. Our favorite details were the blooming flower tea favors which symbolizes our growing love, our customized cake toppers that were designed by the Maid of Honor and our vow journals that were handcrafted by my aunt.
Eric and I are high school sweethearts, and we share a lot of common friends over the years. It was truly reunion of a life time! The speeches were so touching; we are so lucky to have such wonderful family and friends. There were so many great memories! We wished we had more time to party with our guests. This is the one thing, however it was never going to happen with a 10 course meal.... We almost started immediately saying our goodbyes to a lot guests right after dinner. Even though we paid a lot of attention to details, we were very realistic with the planning and never expected things would go perfectly. We were so happy with how the day went and are so thankful for everyone that made it so special.
How great is this idea? Putting together a table (similiar to a candy table) except it has snacks. Like - pretzels, popcorn, chips and maybe a nut mix. Provide guests with little snack bags and scoopers and you have a fantastic treat for your guests to nosh on.
At the end of the night, I surprised Eric with a Batman cake that I designed and had Cat from Sugar Baking make for him! His favorite DC character is Batman and I totally caught him off-guard with this cake - he looked so surprised when I presented it to him! He loved the cake so much that he ended up eating it all by himself for breakfast the next day!
