Is there anything more timeless or romantic than a single rose? Well multiply that by a couple hundred and you have one classic affair! Photographed by the talented Merari Photography, so we suggest you see more of Jake and Melissa's romantic rose wedding by visiting the full gallery here.
The bridesmaids wore ankle length peach lace dresses and cute old fashion style lace up shoes with tiny heels. Paired with baby's breath bouquets their look was sweet and charming ... wouldn't you say?
From Merari Photography:Jake and Melissa wanted to blend a traditional church wedding with their bohemian, romantic styles. Their details, venues, and personalities perfectly mixed these two different looks. Melissa wore a Mantilla veil and paired it with a flower crown. She matched her delicate lace dress with feminine oxfords and Jake wore a perfect dark grey suit with a bow tie. Her bouquet was an overflowing set of roses in different soft colors and the bridesmaids wore peach colored dresses and held baby's breath bouquets.
As a vegan, Melissa incorporated her values into her wedding. Her cake was a beautiful and delicious vegan cake made by a family friend and her escort cards were small potted succulents that served a double purpose as guest favors. Their fun, laid back personalities came through in all their details without losing sight of the special traditions they hold dear.
I would advise brides to find the time to de-stress during the planning process, especially the days leading up to the wedding (yes, I know those can be the craziest days!). Art is my release, so doing some DIY projects helped me feel focused and grounded. I particularly enjoyed making the flower garland for our getaway classic car. I tried to take care of all the details well before the wedding so I could just let go and relax the day before. Luckily my sister gives amazing massages and we relaxed in our ocean view hotel room the night before my big day to unwind!
