Wanting an intimate, family-oriented wedding, Southall Eden was the perfect location for Alison and Georg to tie the knot. Beautiful floral arrangements by The Enchanted Florist coupled with the expertise of Williamson County Weddings & Events transformed the rustic venue into the fairy-tale setting this couple had been waiting for.

From the Bride:It was important to us that our kids were a part of the ceremony. I wanted to do something different from a typical ring bearer pillow, so our youngest sons surprised my husband by walking down the aisle holding pillows that read "Wahoowa," our Alma matter's yell. And our oldest son read "A Blessing for A Marriage." Then, all of us participated in a sand ceremony where we poured different colors of sand that each of us had chosen to represent ourselves into one vessel.
One of my favorite details was the blanket of rose petals covering the aisle at the ceremony — it was one detail I wouldn't have thought to do, but was so glad I did. I also loved that I got to incorporate vintage items from my Aunt, an ermine cape and vintage beaded purse, as well as a pearl bracelet my mother had made from a necklace that belonged to my grandmother. I felt not only beautiful, but surrounded by family and love.
When Georg and I imagined our wedding, we envisioned something outside that was simple and intimate. We were attracted to Southall Eden because we could take this gorgeous farm setting in Lieper's Fork, Tennessee and dress it up with elegant and luxurious details. I remember on my wedding day, walking out of the bride's quarters, completely in awe of how beautiful the setting was.
The inspiration for the floral arrangements came from my bouquet. We used old books, bird cages, and antique jars and milk vases and table numbers made of newsprint for an elegant, vintage look. Georg loves to cook and we are both foodies, so for the reception we selected a more adventurous dinner that included two different types of ceviche, sliced rib eye with a chimichurri, and grilled mahi with a watermelon lime glaze. I adored the dessert display and the contrast of the delicate confections with their rustic displays.
For the music, we wanted Nashville to be reflected, so we had a bluegrass duo play during the cocktail hour and throughout dinner before a DJ took over for dancing. One of the most memorable moments for me was when Georg and I slow danced to Mr. Jones, which was my favorite song when I was 16 and dreaming about meeting the man of my dreams. At that moment, everything came full circle, as I was finally holding this man I dreamed about with all our friends and family there, celebrating and enjoying the night with us! When the evening came to an end, we hopped into a vintage Rolls Royce after walking through a sea of sparklers held by our guests. It was truly a magical evening and more beautiful than we could have imagined!
