Elegant & refined getting ready
Delicate yet down to earth was the guiding theme of Alex's bridal details. Her elegant gown from Sakred Bridal and accessories brought together the overall timeless design of the wedding day. With pampering from The Vow Hair + Makeup, Alex was a vision of a Southern bride!
This bridal look is giving us all the princess vibes! We love the unique, regal bustled train with timeless lace sleeves.
A first look & first touch
Alex brought all the waterworks with not only a first look with her dad and bridesmaids, but also an excitement-inducing first touch with groom Van. We love the idea of getting to say "hi" to your sweetheart without taking away from the first sight at the aisle!
Van was in tears seeing his bride walk the aisle after their first touch!
Timeless monochrome bridal party
Van and Alex's bridal party stunned in all black attire. We've seen a trend lately of choosing a monochrome bridal party - this is an excellent way to keep your wedding style and photos timeless!
We couldn't forget about one of the most important members of the bridal party: ring bearer Murphy!
Southern garden romantic portraits
After their heartfelt ceremony, Michaela Hill Photography captured romantic portraits of the bride and groom in the gorgeous gardens of Old Edwards Inn. Magnolia leaves and white roses highlighted the natural beauty of the Orchard House in the Highlands, NC mountains.

Ambient reception under twinkle light stars
The Farm at Old Edwards Inn stuns couples and guests alike with their twinkle light "stars" above the reception area. Alex and Van's reception was equal parts romantic and fun, with features such as a live painter (Ronald Bayens) and an epic dance party with music by The Company Band.
Hamilton Events brought touches of the outdoors with lush greenery and florals from Casablanca Designs and rentals from Berbank Events.
