This destination wedding is truly off the charts beautiful! Laura and Andres desire for adventure brought them to the historic Le Piazzole villa nestled in the rolling hills of Florence. This 17th century villa was a picturesque backdrop for their garden destination wedding complete with shades of pink, fresh florals and decor inspired by their travels.
From the, ‘Let the Journey Begin’ luggage tags to the custom limoncello favors, they put their hearts into every detail and we must say we’re a little jealous we didn’t get an invite! See this wedding in its entirety in the full gallery here beautifully captured by Facibeni Fotografia.
From Gattotigre: Laura and Andres wedding took place at Le Piazzole, a 17th-century villa nestled in the hills atop the beautiful Renaissance city of Florence. The villa was built around an older medieval tower, and until the 15th, it was the historical estate of the Acciaioli family. It has been recently restored and with its large apartments, it now offers the best services and comfort. Despite being very close to the town, the narrow hilly roads separating the villa from the city center offer a cozy shelter from the noise and traffic.
The nuptials were held in the garden. It is the perfect romantic setting for the ‘best day ever!’ with breathtaking views of the San Felice a Ema valley featuring every imaginable shade of green. From the travel themed invitations with luggage and airplane charms to the ‘Let the Journey Begin’ luggage tags, there was nothing but joyous anticipation throughout the day. The Bride wanted every detail to be perfect right down to the personalized bagged lunches for the guests. Even the wedding favors - which included fans to keep cool under the Tuscan sun - kept the guests' comfort and enjoyment in mind.
The color palette consisted of pink, coral, blush, dusty rose, white and green recalling Victorian gardens. It evoked the romance and pilgrimage of the Grand Tour that sparked imaginations through Renaissance art and classical antiquity. From the Bride's bouquet to the finishing table touches accompanied by the impeccable decor, the floral arrangements brought the romance and sophistication of the Victorian travel theme to life. An icing on the cake, the table decor was completed by custom mini bottles of limoncello and menus decorated with olive branches.
