This elegant vineyard wedding is full of must-have details and loads of personality. The lovely couple dreamed of having a vineyard wedding and were able to book the perfect venue, Gracewood in Kurtz Orchards - 2 years in advance! We must say, it was worth the long engagement.
Gorgeous florals in soft tones of peach and rose, beautiful signage and our favorite, a sparkler cake cutting are just a few of reasons we’re so smitten over this elegant day. Grab a closer look in the full gallery for more swoon-worthy moments captured by Simply Lace Photography.
From the bride: From the first time Brendan and I visited a vineyard in Tennessee, we knew one day we would have a vineyard as the backdrop to our wedding. My vision came alive the moment I saw the lavish white tent at Gracewood in Kurtz Orchards. I knew we had to have our wedding there. We booked two years in advance and got our pick of dates! A friend of mine recommended Bruna, from Simply Lace Photography to take our photos. After meeting with her and seeing her airy and romantic photos, I was sure it was the right fit.
Through my photographer I met Caryn, who turned out to be the best wedding planner! Her and I spent 16 months curating the wedding of my dreams! We met the best vendors from Niagara on the Lake, including Kalin from Bloom & Co. We didn't need much as far as reception decor went because the vineyard is so naturally beautiful. I knew I wanted natural and loose centerpieces and bouquets. Bloom & Co created dreamy peach, rose and lush green florals that sat in beautiful gold urns.
The other key piece I wanted in my wedding was signage. Doris from Love Lettering created the most stunning seating chart, that hung whimsically off a tree branch. We treated our guests to live music and a late night dessert bar. Everything about our wedding, from the charcuterie cocktail hour to sparkler cake cutting, it was all perfect. I am thankful for the great team of vendors and my wedding planner for making this dream of ours a reality. I wish we could do it all over again!
Do not let the little things get to you. Yes, it was 40 degrees celsius on our wedding day and I wore a big lace and tulle wedding gown, but it was my only opportunity to wear such a beautiful gown all day and I wasn't letting a little heat stop me (at least it didn't rain!). Time flies by so fast on the big day, and you will notice some things you planned may not have worked out the way you wanted, but the important thing is to take some time with your new husband or wife and take it all in. Take a few minutes to admire your reception, your happy guests and most of all each other.
