Jenna and Casey's purple ombre handcrafted wedding took place in the brisk fall of Toowoomba. This vintage, DIY wedding is full of personal details that are brimming with cuteness. Numerous shades of purple and gold glitter bring a bright liveliness to the day to match the smiles of those present.
Every precious moment was perfectly photographed by Lover of Weddings. Need a closer look? Check out the full gallery for more. If you're interested to see just how this crafty couple did all their DIY projects, they documented it here, lucky for us!
My bridesmaids lived all over the world. Having them here celebrating my day with me was so important. I've never felt so loved and looked after in my life. They were spectacular and when I watch the video of them walking arm-in-arm with the groomsmen it brings a tear to my eye. Our bridal party consisted of life-long friends on both sides and it was wonderful to see them together. We even had the bridal party join us for the first half of our honeymoon.
Our wedding was soft, romantic and elegant. It was full of personal touches, mostly by my husband and I. We had mad-libs, Meet The Bridal Party clipboards, family wedding photos, hand-painted ornaments and signage, hand-stitched table numbers and glittered frames, and menus with individual thank you's for each person. It was a lot of hard work but very worth it. I've been dreaming about my wedding day since I was little and I wanted to really enjoy the planning and go all out.
I wanted to make sure I thought through and carefully chose every detail. I wanted the whole day to feel cohesive and personalized. For instance, I love bouquet tosses, they are so much fun but I don't particularly like the archaic traditions behind it. So I decided to have one where everyone could join in: men, women, single, married. And the bouquet wasn't tied together so when I threw it it fell apart in the air. The photos of that turned out spectacularly.
I've never met a couple who put more love and attention to detail into making their wedding an absolute dream to enjoy with their guests. Jenna grew succulents favors over the year of being engaged, her grandmother made Getting-Ready pajamas made out of fabric shipped from the US, and even made a website about all the details she was making for the wedding.
