Our next real-life wedding couple met in sun-soaked city and decided to make it the site of their destination wedding.

A Love Story & A Lovely Venue

Mitch is from Australia and Anna is from Russia, but they met online in Miami in September 2016. Mitch convinced Anna to go from Bumble to Bride, and she was married in a stunning Enzoani gown on August 8, 2018, at the historic Deering Estate in Miami, not far from the location of their first date.

The venue is known for its keyhole harbor on Biscayne Bay, lush grounds, glowing pink sunsets, and tropical rustic elegance. The wedding vibe echoed this with coconuts, pineapples, flamingos, and florals by Christopher Plaza.

Cocktails & A Ceremony

The evening started with a courtyard cocktail complete with spiked coconuts, passed hors-d'oeuvres, and a cigar and whiskey bar. The ceremony took place in the estate's backyard against a backdrop of Biscayne Bay and lines of palm trees.

The ceremony was heartfelt, and Mitch's vows perfectly summarized they joy of their union: "Anna, I declare today in front of my family and friends to be the best day of my life. I get the privilege to tell you I love you in front of the people who matter most to us. I get to call you my wife and take these new steps together in the journey of life. I promise to tell you I love you every day. I promise to always have fresh flowers always and in abundance. I promise to pay attention to the little things that make you, you."

Even Vonnie and Lily, the couple's dogs, were part of the ceremony in their own formalwear, with Vonnie as the ring bearer.

Wedding Reception

Afterward, guests enjoyed a night of vintage romance under the tropical stars and market lights in the grand courtyard, complete with hand-crafted cocktails and candlelit elegance at dinner, and tropical beats late into the night. A sparkler send-off ended the evening as Anna and Mitch rode away to start their journey together as husband and wife.
