From Style A Wedding: Gemma and Philip’s destination wedding had all the makings of a stunning Italian wedding: gorgeous views of the lake, the magical atmosphere of a historic villa and garden, and a stunning Italian meal under the stars in a charming country house.
Gemma and Philip are from the UK. They are a fun and very in love couple! They came to Italy a couple of years ago to find the perfect venue and they immediately fell in love with Garda Island; shortly after their visit, they knew Gemma was pregnant and so they decided to wait for their future child to be old enough to walk the aisle with the bride.
The civil ceremony took place on the stunning Garda Island, a private island on Lake Garda that the couple and their guests reached by boat. The wedding reception took place at a charming Relais on the hills overlooking the lake that the couple took in exclusivity to spend a couple of days with all their guests.
Gemma is a florist in the UK and she was very determined from the beginning choosing the succulent theme for her wedding. So the whole wedding was decorated with succulents and the color palette was sage green, lavender and light blue, the nuances of succulents precisely. Vintage doilies and olive branches completed the table decor for the candlelit dinner around the pool overlooking the lake.
Also the bride and groom' car, a vintage FIAT Topolino, perfectly matched both the color scheme and the Italian style of the wedding; as a vintage touch, we tied some personalized tin cans in the wedding color palette to the car.
Co-star of the wedding was Violet, the cute two-year-old daughter of the couple, she looked lovely in her white dress and with cute matching shoes similar to her mum's Valentino shoes.
