Many of our weddings take place over several days; in some locations as Villa Catignano or Villa Pitiana, the bride, groom and their guests have accommodations for the night. It is an opportunity to enjoy a relaxing holiday with family and friends with organised lunches or dinners, such as a pizza party with a real Italian pizzaiolo. The photos in this post were taken in the above mentioned venues, both in Tuscany. At Villa Pitiana, we moved into the adjoining La Chiassaia, an ancient village surrounded by olive groves, which has an authentic wood-burning oven. It was a fun and tasty lunch immersed in the quiet of the Tuscan countryside.
Above: the delicious Panzanella, a loaf of stale bread, cut in half and from which it was taken off the crumb. The crumb is mixed with extra virgin olive oil, fresh tomatoes, vegetables and herbs, and it is put back in the loaf. Fresh and tasty!
