From the Bride: I wish I would've gone with my original desire to wear a dress that had some sort of straps or overlay on the top. While I LOVED the way my dress looked, it just wasn't as comfortable as I would've liked on the big day, and I found myself tugging a lot when dancing.
Start early on décor decisions. While I got the major decisions out of the way as soon as we were engaged, I kept thinking that I had plenty of time to make the small decisions. Big lesson learned, with all that goes on in your day-to-day life, the date will definitely creep up on you!
Oh, and don't accidentally put your cell phone in the washing machine two weeks before the big day. Thank goodness I had emailed myself my vows beforehand!
You bet they had a sweetheart table. Complete with gold Mr. and Mrs. painted letters that head their table and handmade bride and groom signs that hung on their chairs. Adorable.
I knew that I wanted our wedding to be heavy on diy, so I didn’t hesitate to hand-make everything I possibly could—the stationary, floral napkins, signage, my bridal accessories, and even our cake topper (my favorite diy item!) to name a few. I love crafting things and I loved that I could make that a big part of our day.
