What is glamour without a little glitter? John and Alexandra's pink gold and glitter glam wedding has a bit more then a little glitter. It starts with the mismatched metallic bridesmaids dress continues with the sparkling sequin ceremony runner and continues through the reception with glowing candles on glittering linens. Oh and did we mention a hand made light up marquee sign?!
You are totes gunna wanna see this wedding, and we have even more of it for you to see thanks to Helo Photography. Just click here to view the full gallery and don't miss the super cute way John popped the question below.
From the Bride: We wanted a romantic wedding with a little sparkle. Dressed in mixed metallics, our bridesmaids shined bright next to the groomsmen in classic black tuxedos. I loved our white sequin aisle runner, gold chiavari chairs, and floral arch at the ceremony.
Not only did my dad walk me down the aisle, he also officiated the wedding. It was so special to have my dad marry us, he delivered a personal ceremony message that made us both laugh and cry, but mostly laugh.
My most emotional moment of the day was definitely when I made eye contact with John for the first time of the day when my dad walked me down the aisle. Julio, our photographer from Helo Photography, captured some great photos showing how overwhelmingly happy I was in that moment.
Can't get enough of the beautiful bouquets and floral decor from this day? Us too! Dee Dee's Boutique & More was kind enough to give us the low down on what went florals they used through out the day, and keeps scrolling for a bouquet recipe break down too!
White hydrangea, white garden roses, white and pink peonies, pink and white snapdragons, pink purple and white roses, tulips, French tulips
At the reception, our head table really stood out from the rest with a white sequin table cloth, greenery and floral table runner and silver chiavari chairs.
My mom is amazing and helped with so many DIY projects including the "LOVE" marquee letters (this was not an easy task, and yes we made those by hand!), our "Mad Lib" guest cards, and our send off streamers.
I would have hired a wedding planner sooner. My mom and I love projects and planning but we were overwhelmed towards the end. We ended up hiring Micayla Moore from Thirty Day Dash, as suggested by our awesome on-site coordinator Henry Uribe, best money ever spent.
We did lots of research and read tons of reviews to find vendors we could trust and we were not disappointed. We had an amazing team of vendors that allowed me (the bride) to be totally in the moment and stress free while they all worked hard.
How did he propose? He tricked me into going to Fort Worth to "meet some friends" and we went to dinner at Del Frisco's. I didn't realize it at the time but we sat at the same table as our first date. After dinner the manager asked if we'd like to see the underground wine cellar. Once we were in the wine cellar he asked the waitress to take our picture and instead of posing he got down on one knee and proposed. The waitress had been told ahead of time so she knew to film the proposal rather than take our picture. He totally surprised me. Immediately after the proposal he showed me a picture of my parents holding a sign saying "you have our blessing" because he knew how important that was to me. Best day ever other than our wedding!
