Molly and Curtis wanted their wedding to be an intimate and personal celebration of their love. That meant a ceremony and reception that emphasized the things that they prize
most, their friends and family. They had just that, along with some super stylish peach and pink pinwheel decor.

On Their Wedding Ceremony:For me the ceremony was really the most special part of the day. We did not do a first look so walking down the aisle and seeing Curtis was very emotional. When we recited our vows it really was everything. To stand in front of your closest friends and family and look into the eyes of the person who is the love of your life and commit yourself to them, it was an amazing moment.
On Their Do-It-Yourself Wedding Projects:Our wedding was DIY everything and planning the wedding became a family project with my younger sister taking the lead as our wedding planner. She did an amazing job of coordinating details, talking through inspiration and making my vision a reality. I was so thankful for her help (and the fact that she is a professional wedding planner). I also was lucky enough to have an amazingly talented Uncle who did all of the flowers for the wedding.
Curtis and I also did lots of projects together from creating the vintage doors for the ceremony to folding the many fans that ended up as the backdrop for the cake table. Many other family members were enlisted to find vintage bottles, address invitations, fluff poms, fold napkins, and set tables. My family totally took all of the stress away on the wedding day, setting up the entire reception while I was getting ready. They did everything perfectly and executed the warm and elegant look that I was going for.
Advice From The Bride:Stay focused on what’s important. Never let the details overshadow the joy and happiness of the day. A DIY wedding is something that you really can’t do yourself, and that is where friends and family come in, surround yourself with people who support you and the vision you have for your wedding and everything will come together. Our wedding would not have been possible without the love and support of our friends and family.
