Amelia & David’s Pink and Peach Barn Wedding: Budget & Guest Comfort

Happy bride and groom smiling on wedding day in field

Figuring out what is most important to you on your wedding day is a key factor in the planning process.  For our next couple, Amelia and David's main objective was to make sure that all of their guests were comfortable and had a great time. They were sure to share this objective with Karin and Peyton Craig of Encounters, when they started the planning process.
So, figure out what is most important to you and begin planning. While you are figuring that out, enjoy Amelia and David's pink and peach barn wedding captured by The Burks. Be sure to see every last photo full gallery here.

Weather Worries

From the Bride: I wish I hadn't spent so much time worrying about the weather! Planning an outdoor wedding usually has some element of weather-related anxiety, but I let the rainy forecast seriously stress me out during the week leading up to our wedding. Fortunately, we had a wonderful (and relatively cool!) August day, but even if it had rained, it still would have been a beautiful wedding.

My advice to future brides is to enjoy everything about the planning process and the day itself; although it may not seem like it in the stressful moments, it will be over SO fast. You hear it all the time, but you really want to be able to look back and say you were happy through it all.

Our Guests Are Number 1

When we were planning our wedding, one of the most important things quickly became how our guests would feel on our day. We wanted everyone to feel welcome, relaxed, and comfortable. We knew that if we accomplished that, then our wedding would reflect who we are. So, from that came the blending of our Kansas and Pennsylvania upbringings into our "rustic chic" wedding. It was a beautiful day spent with the people we love, and we wouldn't change a thing!
