This whimsical wedding full of pinks and oranges would brighten anyone's day. With all of the cute DIY tidbits all brought together into this delightful wedding, you will easily see why we love it!
The bride and groom met in high school but had to wait four years, while the groom served his country, before they could finally say "i do". To view more of their long awaited special day, click here for the full gallery, all masterfully captured by Hannah Colclazier Photography.
The bride wore the Reem Acra "Orchid" gown from the designer's Fall 2010 Collection. This strapless, floor length, A-line silhouette of ivory silk organza and Chantilly Lace with a blush pink underlay, was the perfect choice for the romantic and whimsical wedding.
The ceremony was in the circle drive in front of the home. The bride walked out of the front entrance of the home, which was draped with white tulle, down the aisle to the fountain in the center of the drive where her groom was waiting. The rows of white garden chairs curved to follow the drive and increased in length from front to back. The aisle was lined with pink and orange flower arrangements of peonies, ranunculus, larkspur, garden roses, tulips, and lilies in large mason jars.
Guests drank out of mason jars and chose from pink lemonade, sweet tea, or water in cute drink dispensers. One cute idea that added to the whimsical feel of this wedding were the cute brightly colored striped straws.
The tables featured white tablecloths with burlap table runners and had centerpieces of pink and orange peonies, ranunculus, larkspur, garden roses, tulips, and lilies in mason jars that sat atop beds of fresh moss. The brick retaining wall surrounding the circle drive was lined with strings of balloons and decor in shades of pink and orange.
They had a dessert bar with a small pink and white ombre wedding cake and many different flavors of cupcakes. One of our favorite aspects of this wedding were the scrumptious looking key lime cupcakes that look almost too cute to eat!
