A quiet little countryside wedding with all kinds of style and class, this pink and green cottage wedding is exactly what romance is all about!
There are plenty more delightful moments from the day photographed by Divine Light Photography and we just can't wait to share them with you! So don't forget to stop by the full gallery to see more!
Our wedding venue was pretty unique in that we actually rented an old 1790s Dutch farmhouse, Windrift Hall, for 4 days, 3 nights via AirBnb! The most important thing for us was spending quality time before the wedding with our families.
Windrift Hall was an incredible deal compared to a typical venue that we would've rented in Manhattan, and so much more personal too.
Overall, our main splurges were our decor rentals, photography, and flowers. Our savings were from the BBQ buffet (which was about $20 per plate for 80 people), buying our own liquor, making an iTunes playlist for our music, and asking friends to help with the day of wedding coordination.
My main advice is to plan the wedding that you both want, not one that you think you should have based off other people's weddings. My husband and I talked about what was important for us (family time, fun decor), and what was less so (DJ, fancy dinner).
Since we planned this wedding ourselves, agreeing on our priorities prevented us from getting overwhelmed and burdened over the little details.
