Bridal details
From the bride: A personal favorite moment for me was having the honor of wearing a custom veil by my very talented designer friend, Andrea Seemayer. Putting on the veil she created for me, made me feel nostalgic, like I was back to being a 10 year old playing dress up in front of my mom's over-sized mirror, hoping to marry my prince charming one day. We have been friends for over 15 years and seeing a 12 foot train of delicate lace come to life from a sketch, trailing behind me-- was truly an unforgettable moment. The lace and the veil length complimented my David Tutera lace dress perfectly, and it’s an understatement to say I felt just like a “pretty pretty princess.”
DIY wedding paper
Our programs were one of my favorite DIYs to create. I wanted them to be pretty and fun to look at, yet informational. The fun graphics and our wedding planning “pie chart” still get talked about today and make everyone laugh!
Modern-classic style
For our venue we decided on The Grand Hall, because it was a large blank canvas, a fresh space that none of our friends had gotten married at, and we could make the space our very own. We wanted our wedding to feel airy and beautiful, yet intimate and personal. Candlelight uplighting, blush linens, sequin golds and the most stunning florals created by the uber talented Bloomin’ Buckets filled the room and brought our romantic and whimsical, yet modern-classic style to life.
DIY Fireball favors
My favorite DIY from our wedding were the fireball shots! We love country music and whiskey, so after hearing “Sunshine and Whiskey” we knew exactly what our favors would be! We hand tied 350 tags on jute string, and my mother in law found an old mirror at a resale shop for our whiskey sign that she repurposed.
