Elegant Industrial Wedding at Reading Art Works: A Pennsylvania Celebration

Happy couple embracing in a beautiful garden on their wedding day

Hannah and Pete chose the Reading Art Works in Pennsylvania to celebrate their elegant wedding. The crisp clean whites of their ceremony and reception popped against the industrial elements and rich wood floors of the space.
To bring in some warmth Hannah baked all the cookies that they gave away as wedding favors and put them chevron wedding bags with custom labels. Lauren Fair Photography was there every step of the way to capture all the gorgeous details of this couples chic industrial wedding. To see more of Hannah and Pete's big day you can visit the full gallery here.

From the Bride:Honestly, the day was so perfect in my mind that it's hard to think of something I would have done differently. In retrospect, I probably would have allowed more time when arriving to the venue.

That 30 minutes was definitely the only hectic part of the day and it would have been nice for my bridal party to have a few extra minutes to take a breath. This extra time would have allowed me to embrace a few extra minutes with my parents and sisters as well.

Hannah and Pete's stunning Reading Art Works wedding was so much fun to be a part of! From the strung market lights to the handmade chuppah to the hundreds of sea salt chocolate chip cookie favor bags, to the mismatched bridesmaid dresses and hand-tied peony bouquets, no detail was overlooked. Even though the surroundings were beautiful, it was the genuine love between them that was most memorable to us.

Although they didn’t do a first look, they did an extended cocktail hour that allowed us to capture lots more portraits than we would have been able to otherwise – always a good idea in our book. Hannah and Pete…you guys are awesome. We were so, so privileged to be a part of your beautiful wedding and know that God has amazing things in store for your marriage.

My husband loves to budget so our wedding budget was probably his favorite part of getting married (other than actually marrying me of course ;). Right after we got engaged we sat down and calculated how much we could afford to put towards the wedding each month. We knew we would be paying for the majority of the wedding ourselves so it was very important to us to not start our lives together in debt. We also decided on what aspects were most important to us and therefore what we would be willing to spend the most on. Of course by the end we were buying things left and right but I'm proud to say we still came in "under" budget. We were also very fortunate to have many family members and friends help out. For instance, my sister made our cake and a family friend made my headpiece while my dad and my husband constructed our backdrop. And I used my baking skills to make our favors. It was definitely more work to do it yourself and there were moments where it was overwhelming but seeing everyone pull together made the wedding day all the sweeter.
