Wedding lit with chandeliers made entirely of trailing peach florals
After befriending a girl (Nicole) at their law school orientation barbecue, it wasn't long before Katie began visiting her house to study and started getting to know her brother, Michael. After realizing the connection they had, Katie and Michael spent the next three years going on countless adventures before Michael finally proposed at the waterfront in Tampa with an hour-long photo shoot and a surprise celebration with their families and closest friends (including Nicole!). Hosted at The Resort at Longboat Key Club in Florida and captured by Elizabeth Baxter Photography, their wedding was set against the peaceful harbor complete with views of Sarasota Bay.
Muted terracotta invitations
Planned with the help of Parties A' la Carte and Amanda Allen of MMD Events, Katie and Michael's wedding featured stunning floral details and plenty of terracotta touches beginning with the muted invitation suite.
Subtle yet elevated beachy undertones
Katie wore a gown with subtle beachy flair, embellished with pearls along the straps and the inclusion of lace at the end of the train. She also added a sentimental photo of her and her grandfather on the bottom of her heels.

Trailing floral chandeliers
Their reception nearly melted into the white sands, set beneath a sailcloth tent with a wooden floor platform. A floral archway by Botanica Design Studio welcomed guests to dine beneath statement-making floral chandeliers. These installations featured strands of buds delicately hanging on clear strings, falling from each light fixture.
Underrated color palate: Peach and sage
Softly ikat-inspired tablecloths from BBJ La Tavola and Nuage Designs blended their color story in shades of sage and peach, while black lanterns illuminated pathways through the sand as evening approached.
Custom wedding cake surprise
The couple's lab made a surprise guest appearance towards the end of the evening on their wedding cake by Cakes by Ron. Tucked away behind cascading florals, it was a detail that made every guest who saw smile.
