When it came to our wedding party, we found that there are limited choices for groomsmen attire, particularly for light gray suits. We wanted everything to match the wedding’s muted color palette, so Chris reached out to our good friend and owner of Grooms Grotto, to have them custom made.
Other fun touches included the favors, which were customized vintage-inspired dishtowels that tied back to the floral design on our invitations. You can get your own customized wedding favors from the Wedding Chicks Shop! From dish towels to handkerchiefs; tshirts to totes, all of these and more are just a click away!
We looked at quite a few venues but it was Apple Creek Ranch that we fell in love with. The barn, the large open field surrounded by mountains, the carriage house and fountain just felt like the perfect place for us. Plus, they had July 18th open which was the same day we got engaged!
We decided to keep the guest list small and focused on creating an intimate affair that felt unique and special for our closest family and friends.
Chris had picked me up for one of our first dates in his 1969 Chevy Camaro, so it was only fitting that we used it as our sparkler exit getaway car.
We decided on a non-traditional dessert by serving ice cream sandwiches. Our engagement was in Santa Barbara and we often vacation there, so McConnell’s Ice Cream was the perfect choice.
