Skylar and Jeremy’s love story is deeply connected to the mountains around their wedding venue. Growing up in the Tahoe area, Skylar always dreamed of a winter wedding, and this dream came true at Rainbow Lodge, where they hosted an intimate gathering for 65 of their closest friends and family. Jeremy proposed to Skylar after a hike to Marlette Lake, an Alpine lake near their venue, against a backdrop of snowy peaks. They then celebrated their engagement with a surprise party at Skylar’s childhood home in Lake Tahoe.
Skylar looked stunning in a Lovers Society gown with a Watters lace top, which transitioned perfectly into a short Watters dress paired with bridal sneakers for the reception. Her bridesmaids wore dresses in different fabrics and shades of blue, including some in velvet for a winter feel. Later in the evening, the bridesmaids added fur wraps for an extra touch of elegance.
Impeccably planned by Sisters Events, the day was a perfect blend of the natural beauty of the Tahoe area and a touch of refined elegance. The ceremony took place on the lodge’s deck, surrounded by snow and towering trees.
The dinner inside the cozy lodge featured navy linens and pinecones that the couple collected themselves. The floral arrangements by Massa Floral Co were mostly white with hints of blue and green, complementing the rustic vibe of Rainbow Lodge.
Unique touches included custom motel key welcome gifts and a seating chart molded after the towering pine trees surrounding the venue.
Skylar and Jeremy suggest staying true to your vision and making the day personal. “Every detail should reflect who you are as a couple. We loved incorporating elements from our engagement and the natural beauty around us to make our day unique.”
