Incorporating Colorado

We had several guests who would be traveling in from out of state, so it was important to us to give them a beautiful Colorado experience. Spruce Mountain Ranch was the perfect place to have our wedding as it shows off Colorado's beauty with an amazing panorama view!

We also incorporated several Colorado dishes into our cocktail hour and dinner - Bison, Colorado Striped Bass, and even Rocky Mountain Oysters! My dad and I also spent three days making yummy Colorado Palisade Peach jam for our wedding favors.

Merrie Melodies

Patrick and I both come from very musical families. I was a music major in college and Patrick is an International Barbershop Quartet champion. I sang in a mixed group in college and we sang a song called, 'Pilgrim's Hymn' and I knew I had to have that sung at my wedding some day.

The day finally came and we had Pilgrim's Hymn arranged by one of our wedding guests into a 4-part mens' arrangement. During the ceremony my dad, Patrick's dad and brother, and a friend of Patrick's sang the beautiful arrangement.

Greyhound Cocktail Recipe

Ingredients
1 Part Absolut Vodka, 3 Parts Pink Grapefruit Juice & 1 Wedge Grapefruit Directions Fill a rocks glass with ice cubes. Add all ingredients. Garnish with pink grapefruit.

First Dance Prep

Patrick and I are not the best dancers and we had this fear that we would get up on the dance floor for our first dance and only know how to do the prom sway. We couldn't let this happen and the performers in us needed to be prepared for this big moment, so we took 10 weeks of dance lessons leading up to the big day.

I would highly suggest this to all couples! It ended up being something we looked forward to every week and turned into a date night for us and allowed us some time away from thinking about the little details of the wedding. We rocked our first dance and I must say, that moment is one of my favorite parts!
