Former Miss Brazil Continental’s fairytale Parisian château wedding
Martina Gurgel, a renowned jewelry designer with her own fine jewelry brand, and Dr. Frantz Lerebours, an esteemed orthopedic surgeon working with the Miami Heat, crossed paths in the most serendipitous way. They met during a boys’ and girls’ trip to Mykonos, just before the world changed with the pandemic. At that time, Frantz lived in Los Angeles and Martina in London, but fate had other plans. After the pandemic, they relocated together to Miami, and in 2023, Frantz proposed in a dreamlike setting at the lush Botanical Gardens of Kuai, Hawaii. From that magical moment, they envisioned their wedding as nothing short of a fairytale, and the Chateau Bouffemont outside of Paris was perfect venue to bring this to life. Momento Mio assisted with planning this spring wedding for 80 guests that truly captured a glamourous and royal yet classic theme captured by Grabazei Photography and Tuan.
The vision: Old-world glamour
Drawing inspiration from the opulent soirées of Versailles, Martina and Frantz curated a wedding that combined timeless elegance with regal grandeur. Their vision was to transport guests to a world of old glamour, where romance flourished in every detail. The dress code was black-tie, with guests adorned in full gowns and tuxedos, perfectly complementing the chateau’s majestic setting.
True bridal princess style
Martina embraced her role as a true princess for the day. Her gown from Atelier Pronovias featured a dramatic train, and her initials were embroidered onto her delicate veil. She paired the dress with elegant gloves and Aquazzura shoes, while her accessories, of course, were custom pieces from her own brand, Martina Gurgel Fine Jewelry. With soft rose makeup by Nora Make Up, Hollywood waves half-pinned with a crown, and a bouquet of white roses, Martina exuded grace and charm. Her perfume, "In Love with You" by Armani completed the look, enveloping her in a romantic aura.
Refined Tom Ford tuxedos
Frantz opted for a timeless and refined look, donning a Tom Ford black tuxedo paired with a bow tie, and Dior shoes. A white rose boutonniere and custom cufflinks designed by Martina added a personal touch to his ensemble. His outfit reflected the sophistication of the day, a perfect blend of classic elegance and modern flair.
Giving each other the gift of time
Complementing a magical first look on the chateau's balcony accompanied by the sounds of peacocks in the garden, the bride and groom gifted each other watches to symbolize the preciousness of their time together.
Romantic white floral semi-circle
The couple exchanged vows in the garden of Chateau Bouffemont, surrounded by lush greenery and a romantic semi-circle of white florals. Guests sat on white Renaissance chairs, while a harp and violinist played ethereal melodies. Martina walked down the grand staircase, led by her father, to the traditional Wedding March. Frantz, ever the New Yorker, made his entrance to a Jay-Z instrumental.
Symbols of unity
The ceremony was officiated by their friend, celebrity pastor Touré Roberts, and in a touching moment, the guests extended their hands in a gesture of love and unity for the couple. It was a beautiful, traditional ceremony, filled with heartfelt emotions.

Floating twinkle lights
Under twinkling string lights, the reception unfolded in the chateau’s lower grounds, creating a magical atmosphere. Martina and Frantz chose a classic palette of white and gold for the décor, with grand floral arrangements cascading through the venue, evoking the romance and splendor of a royal affair. Candelabras and gold-gilded menus adorned tables covered in white florals, while Renaissance chairs added a touch of elegance.
Kicking off a glamorous party
Guests enjoyed signature cocktails, and the DJs, close friends from London, kept everyone dancing throughout the evening. In a playful twist, the couple had their first dance to Beyoncé’s "Cuff It" as dinner was being served. Heartfelt toasts were made by their siblings, filling the evening with love and laughter, while Martina and Frantz also gave a heartfelt speech expressing gratitude or their guests' presence.
Cakes and cold sparklers
A duo of performance dancers entertained guests, and the night concluded with a breathtaking cake presentation, framed by a champagne tower and cold sparklers.
After-the-fact advice from the couple
"Start your day early to avoid rushing, and savor every moment. After months of planning, the day will pass by in a flash, so make sure to take the time to take it all in."
